Why did Great Britian put so much tax on the colonist? Great Britain had some debt to pay off from the French And Indian war. Also Great Britain had won some French territory and needed money to cover the cost of the land.
Stamp Act the colonist put a stamp on all printed things showing that they payed for the printing job.
Townshend Act colonist were being taxed by the British on everyday needs, so the colonist boycotted buying british goods.
“boycott” when you get a lot of people together to ban the use or purchase of something. The colonist boycotted british goods because the British keep taxing the colonist on everyday needs, this was the Townshend Act.

the Massachusetts Constitution is unusual. The constitution decided to split up the government into 3 branches, government can check the legislatures, and the government is created by convention delegates.
who Daniel Shays is and his significance. Daniel Shay was a farmer in a lot debt due to taxes, he was told that he was going to get his property taken away. He got so mad at the government that he stole weapons from the federal weapon thing. This showed colonist how weak their government.
leaders needed to revise the Articles of Confederation. Because after Shays rebellion everyone wanted a stronger national government, so the twelve states sent delegates to a meeting in Philadelphia to look over the Articles.
